We just wanted to send you a update on our pup that we got form you guys the week before Christmas. Her name was Bambi when we adopted her but we changed it to Betty. She is doing Great with her new family and friends! We sent you some fun pics to update you. She is learning a ton & loves walks, jogs, playing with her toys, oh and snuggles. Thank you all so much fun this happy little puppy has gave us.

Cassidy was surrendered at 10 years old by her family who did not want her anymore. Then along came a woman who wanted to adopt a dog who no one else would want. She looked at the rough coat collie mix and adopted her into her home. Cassidy ended up having huge adjustment issues, with her new brothers and sisters.

Buckeye came to Alchemy Acres this past summer in a litter of six unwanted puppies. He was adopted from Alchemy in July 2007 and went to Beaver Falls, PA to live with his new family (including CJ the beagle) where he is very wanted and loved. His Christmas picture with CJ is below.

My husband had been in a terrible auto accident on December 22, 2005, and remained hospitalized for many weeks. We had a German shepherd and a golden retriever at the time, who both got along well. We had adopted Goldie when we found out she needed a new home. But Bella, our shepherd, who was my husband’s best friend, was so confused and sad that her buddy (my husband) wasn’t around any more, that her personality changed and she attacked Goldie on more than one occasion. I was able to break up the fights between the two dogs before any serious injuries occurred, but I knew that this behavior could not go on. So I began my very emotional, heartbreaking search for a new home for Goldie.
