I started volunteering at Alchemy Acres about two years ago. It was a dream come true for me. I've always loved animals and always wanted to work with them. Originally obtained from the Carroll County Dog Pound, saved from euthanasia day, Hollie went to live with a family in Kensington. I wanted to give you an update on our dog Molly (formerly known as "Yankee")! It's been over a year since we saw Molly's picture on the Pets.com website and decided to drive from Louisville, Kentucky to Alchemy Acres to pick her up! She was approximately seven months old when we got her, and she has turned out to be such a great dog. She now weighs 40 pounds and can run faster and jump higher than any other dog we've seen! Spotty is starting to feel like this is home. Kathy and I both forgot what it is like to have an active dog, but Spotty seems to be adjusting in pretty well. We are still working with house training, she really tries to please you and is excellent with children. She goes on a walk every day and has met most of the dogs in the neighborhood. We will keep you informed from time to time. Tom Fitzgerald Click on pictures to see full size! |
